The number one reason we did not make laundry detergent sheets is because they are, well, terrible at cleaning laundry.
That’s it. That’s the post.
(Okay, not really—but it could be.)
Laundry detergent sheets might look sleek and sound like a good idea. But when it comes to actually getting clothes clean, many of them fall flat. In independent tests, some performed worse than water. That’s not just bad—that’s barely trying.
If you're using detergent sheets, you're more likely to end up rewashing stained or smelly clothes. Often with hot water. Which is a total waste of time, energy, and water. Suddenly, that “eco-friendly” product isn’t looking so eco after all.
Speaking of greenwashing—yes, the production of laundry sheets can be incredibly resource-intensive. Despite their low-waste look, the back end isn’t always so clean. From energy use in manufacturing to questionable ingredients, there's a lot the packaging doesn't tell you.
We believe eco products should actually work—and they should be genuinely sustainable from start to finish. That’s why we made pods instead. Ours come in plastic-free cardboard, use effective plant-based enzymes, and clean properly the first time.
Because eco shouldn't mean doing more laundry.
